Walter, do you or is there anyone driving a 1.6 (I understand per some there were no 100% 1.6's, I'll take what's available for video) with video of the second gear corners at MIS? Only want to remind myself and those against throwing a bone to the 1.6 of the results when 99 plus and 1.6's all use second gear.

Second gear corners are great for 1.6's as they are all 5000 rpm plus corners.   A top notch or even less-- 1.6 will hang with ANY 99,VVT from a strict drag race.

The paddock was fun this weekend. The drama was low and the BS was deep. From Todd "the Goat" Lamb, to restart Tommy Todaro, to 8 quart Kyle, we all had a good time.

 

I set aside half of the RV area for you folks and it seemed to work out OK.  

 

I wanna thank you guys for playing nice all weekend.  It's easy to host an event when things go correctly.

 

I must confess.....WMR had a secret plan.....if we put all of you folks together, perhaps you'd all get too drunk, miss the calls to the grid and we'd have a lot less of mess to clean up afterwards.  However.....you guys wrecked the plan by not causing any headaches.  Kudos to all of you on that.

 

Already working on 2016......

Here is an NA2 qualifying at MIS, Novak/Hille waited in the pit lane and I waited on them to blast by me, i almost timed it right...,  it was almost a very fast lap(for NA) if I couldve draft closer but the gearbox jammed seconds after video ends, it is really easy to miss out on a tow at the big tracks.  Michael is right, an NA can run with the newer cars, we saw a fast Charlie Campbell at Pittrace a few weeks ago in a 1.6,  the handling of the NA is good.    I am tempted to go to Daytona with the NA2,  will it hit the rev limiter there?, it sure as sh@t didnt come close at MIS.  

Anyways I had a nice rookie run in Spec Miata, a short season(5 starts in 30 days) it was, kinda sad its over but a great new beggining in club racing,  followed Novak, Davis, Hille, Webb,  luckily walked on the podium twice, made some friends and hope to be in ok books with most of you I race along.  Good luck to everyone going to Daytona.  

I want to thank Kyle,Provitz,Drago,Wheeler and Novak for helping me ease into the class and advising in how to stay out of trouble!!

"Stopped racing my 1.6, it is not competitive anymore in the SEast division majors. 1.6 is fun but extremely difficult car to drive compaired to NB.   I dont know much about what the rest of the country is doing but the car needs some love."

As usual - a couple bad apples have to spoiled things for everyone. (I thought about doing a couple laps with my tow vehicle Thursday evening. Visions of getting booted from MIS before turning a single lap prevailed.)
