Well I tried to help the rest of you guys out by trying to hit Justin with my truck in the pits before the race but he was too quick on his feet like a deer and quick to yell slow down a$$hole ! Lmao !!!

I just want to say congrats to Justin,Carter,Jim and Goulart on a great race. I felt bad for Jim and Goulart getting held up by the lapped car and thought it would have been a hell of a battle to the checkered flag by all four of you guys. I think Carter owes that back marker a beer ! :)

Congrats to Cavman for the hard charger award and great job to the rest of the group for some great battles all the way to the checkered flag.

Again congrats to Justin on the championship it was a well deserved win and glad to see all your hard work paid off !

Damn I forgot to get your autograph before I left ! :)

Carter is only 15. He can't buy beer. How about a root beer back marker?

I am not one to usually complain, but the driving of the lappers especially the 72 Henson car was reprehensible.. As we were lapping him at the end of the back straight.. With no car within 500 yards of him, he decided to race me and held me up from the end of the back straight all the way to thunder valley.. I put a wheel off there trying to get around him and didn't pass him until I entered the keyhole. His response... I was holding my line.. Yes, on a single line race track. I hope he enjoyed racing with the leaders as it ended my shot at a win and I still had a VERY good shot at that point.. Terrible sportsmanship .. There was a race going on and you were not in it, be courteous and get the hell out of the way. Several of the lappers were not very courteous at all.

This is some BS.  Sucks that you got screwed by a lap car, I was looking forward to watching the four car battle all the way to the finish.  I personally think that at a National runoffs/championship level race, if you are about to get lapped, you should be black flagged and come in.  I am sorry, but there should be no reason that a 40 minute runoffs race should run into lap cars.  Don't mean to sound insensitive but it should only be the best of the best.

My race was great! After warming up by going to the local farmers market for the last fresh homegrown tomatos and peaches. I went home and made a wonderful BLT. Then trouble!!!!! I could not get Drago's in car feed! Oh no! I had it set up to watch both broadcasts. My desktop and I pad were up to the task.

I had no trouble watching the race while eating the sandwich but you know how fresh, ripe peaches are.... A little messy so my mouse is was little sticky by the end of the race. All in all, I had a great race! Very exciting.

Congrats to my IRacing buddy Justin. Great week! Young Mr. Carter too. Both did great interviews after the race. Justin showed just how much he left out on the track. Everything!!! Michael was the happiest 2nd place I've ever seen!

Lots of TV time was spent on the second group with Adam and Mike Novak......... Great battle.

Jim, if Carter would have gone with you instead of Hille, the outcome would have been different. Frankly, it was the right choice as I would not want to be fighting a two time national champion on the last lap either :)

Very proud of my Sensei, Caveman. Great race. Passing 12 in that field is an achievement! I still say he should have raced his VVT!!!!!!!!!!

I heard several other complaints from driver in other classes. One class had a car get lapped 4 times! Perhaps, there needs to be a 120% rule during the race. Turn two laps below it and you are black flagged. That way, everyone has a chance to start the big show. Our short track series parks cars when they can't keep up with a reasonable pace. I, too, lost a championship at Mid Ohio because of a back marker. Not a good feeling.

^  I was at a Ferrari Club race at VIR one year and a couple back grid guys were lapped on lap 2. At that point I would have pitted in shame, because you're a potential hazard to to the real racers at that pace. Sadly, these guys probably still talked up, at the water-cooler, how they had a race over the weekend.

It should never happen that way especially since the closing speeds at this short track are not that high. The problem is you do not know if they see you, and i have had it happen where they enter the corner wide, your expecting they are going to stay wide and then BAMB.

I will just add one other point. This was a relatively a clean race, but there was a little carnage at the start that caused a spin and collection in the first turn. I have some good video of experienced racers making it 4 wide at the end of the back straight.

As Todd Lamb said some time ago, not every opening is a passing opportunity, there is no way to go from the end of the back straight over madness 4 wide, its about impossible, so it begs the question why would you make it 4 wide.

It did cause a few people to go off, but the majority of the cars kept it to 2 to 3 wide allowing most to get through.

Having been to Indy already, we may want to think about our group having a Driver meeting before the big race. There was some discussion about if we should have done it this year. I voted no, as we were pretty good all week and looking at the roster there were only a few question marks. But Something to consider next year, as Indy is tight in the infield.

As far as the motor goes it was exactly where I would expect it to be on my dyno. Good but not great. But considering the budget and its age I was happy with where it was. A sharp knife but not a scalpel.

Having watched Carter draft on Hille last month during the regional it looked like Hille he had a bit more power after the head refreshed.

Justin is a great kid and I am happy for him, he is a true gentleman. I hope he earns an invitation to the Mazda shootout......

I'd review the race when it come out. I think one guy went off twice, which put him way back for the leaders to catch much faster. So he could of had the speed but was very much a back marker and keeping it on track is pretty important too.

Just things to think about when the rule is written.

It's all previously been said within this thread. Congratulations Justin, fantastic job ALL season. The Carter outside charge in T7 (end back straight) was really fun to watch and then blipping the hill take a right and on to the flag.
