Marc Cefalo is going to win with the only 97 entered.....
Well then he will be the fastest 1.8 in the field.

The question is can he beat himself?
Just saying...He's been very strong this year...I believe he was able to beat Tyler Kicera @ Jersey and Jim last weekend unless Jim was day dreaming about his granite counter tops when he was on track......

Thanks for enlightening me on what it takes
So I smelled a rat earlier in the year with all the NA 1.8 stuff. Went by Drago's shop while I was in Memphis on business and what did I find on the dyno in ESR trim? 94 NA 1.8. WTF!!!!
Shucks, when the guy gets down to 250 pounds body weight, y'all wouldn't even smell a rat, you'll see an ESR 1.6 entered.
Hey, I know a guy who owns a sub 2000 pound 1.6 with 15 feet of extra tubing. Two gallon cool suite and gallon of gas, 2020 pounds.

I'll send photos when I get time to download.
Not a chance. Mr. Jim would be wise enough to build a '96-'97 if he were to do so.
Alright people, we are a little over a month away! Now that people have driven it and have given some feedback like "top 20 could be within half a second of eachother" lets ramp up this smack talk! Not only do we all have a higher chance of wrecking ... more people have a higher chance of winning! #SpreadTheWins!!!
I am VERY disappointed in my boi Balakey for withdrawing his entry. He was my pick to win it all! What a P*ssy!

SO WHO Y'ALL GOT!?
My Top 5 in no particular order:
The John Davison: I mean, if you don't believe in yourself ... then nobody will believe in you! So of course I am going to give myself a pick. This has a Cinderella story written all over it. Wrecked the car a month before the runoffs, gets it fixed in the knick of time, and go on to win my first SM race at the runoffs! The after party will be LIT AF when I invite a whole bunch of chicks I met on bumble that week for everyone to enjoy! Talk about a fairytale ending!
Preston "P$" Pardus: What a legend in the making this kid is. The real deal. He gets my vote for the most improved driver in 2017! What else is there to say about him? That is all you need to know.
Alex "The Cuban Missile" Bolanos: You can't count out a guy that literally saved all of the beer bottles that he drank in one year, which he then used to construct a raft, and floated over here on it from Cuba. That takes ingenuity, discipline, and perseverance. Without a doubt, the top three traits that directly result in race wins! You combine that with his driving talent, and you have the perfect formula of a champion!
Trace Hance: He is really coming off a good few weekends and is driving well. I mean, he beat the Zulu Rain Warrior at Daytona ... IN THE RAIN! Now that takes some talent and some balls. This kid even contributes to Magazines like Motortrend! You heard it from me first, he is basically the next Randy Pobst! If he isn't in your top 5 after hearing those reasons, then maybe that is why you always lose money on Draft Kings.
Jim Drago: What can't this man accomplish, am I right?! To be the first 3x National Champion in Spec Miata would put him right up there with the best of them like Graham Rahal, and no better track to do it at than Indy! He wrapped up the Hoosier Super Tour in first place in spectacular fashion with five wins! Impressive! But, not only is he having a good year, he will do whatever it takes to win. If his customer is in his way, he has no problem telling that guy who is the boss, and punts him to get the job done. You gotta love it! That kind of fearless attitude is what makes him a winner and you can't take that away from him!

Some times you just have to punt a #$%^&*(! BTW.. Super tour not wrapped up, it includes the runoffs. But I like the way you think!
With all the betting going on, and me giving you 50:1.. I handicapped the field, a field bet may be the way to go
Jim Drago 10:1
Chris Haldeman 9:1
Tyler Kicera 9:1
Michael Carter 10:1
Alex Bolanos 9:1
Danny Steyn 15:1
Selin M. Rollan 10:1
Daniel Bender 15:1
Justin Hille 10:1
Preston Pardus 15:1
Andrew von Charbonneau 20:1
Marc Cefalo 20:1
The peoples champion 50:1
Betting on the entire rest of the field 10:1
This is all in fun, don't get your panties in a wad if you don't like your odds you can put me in at 50:1 with the peoples champ

Top 3 for drinking the most during the week:
Soriano ... who is still growing out the mullet for the runoffs and will have it in Prestine condition to look just like Kenny Powers! And you can't outdrink anyone with a nice mullet
Myself ... because I will be with this idiot ^ and with the rest of our gang of idiots the whole time.
Hille ... I hear he likes to drink a lot. Let's see if he can keep up

Excellent strategy sir. Get your competitors hung over before the biggest event in club racing.
We don't go on track until 11am every day. That makes for plenty of time to cure the hangover!

I hope Justin's FIREBALL sponsorship works out better for us at this years Runoff's. Last year we needed to go with a knockoff brand and could find a handle in Lexington after hours.
