Tom,
Loved this quote from the article:
Perhaps the EV version of the biggest-selling vehicle on the market will help consumers get a handle on what, exactly, electric vehicles are all about; Ford says its studies show 42 percent of Americans think electric vehicles need gasoline to run. In other words, there's some educating still to do, despite the increased numbers of electric vehicles on the market and all the media attention being lavished on them.
Seriously? 42% think an electric vehicle needs gas?

Understandably, they quit paying attention after the Prius....

Love it! Way to balance your carbon footprint. And there's plenty of paddock charging at ThunderHill. Didn't realize that there was EV charging at Sonoma or I would've tried to drive up there in my old car.
I'm on my 4th EV, though none suitable for towing. Love the new Kia/Hyundai EV's. Really wish the Honda Clarity EV was sold on the east coast.

Yep, we wanted to be the first to tow regularly and document it! The trucks/SUV's coming out are great, but likely won't be as efficient as our Kia (trucks will have massive battery packs and worse aero). But they will still be a great step forward and we look forward to trying them out!

I would definitely rock a B1 or a B2... little out of my price range though

Yes I am looking forward to charging for free at Thunderhill. My towing costs for a 360 mile tow will be shockingly low.
The 14-50 plugs pushing 220V 50A will easily charge me overnight!!!
The Sonoma Chargepoint charger was ok, until the solar runs out and the diesel generator kicks on...
We got a good few hours off of solar, but as soon as the generator kicked on I unplugged and decided I would just charge near my hotel instead...
Thanks everyone for the comments, looking forward to more testing!

Well, that says something about Ford owners, eh

I'll tell ya what Lefty, at one point in time for 40 years Theeee Ford Motor had a 24% partnership of Mazda Corp. It all don't matter much what you lefties believe because when California institutes their new "pay the college athlete", you'll have all the heavy athletes there and from their weight, California will break off from the Continental United States and float out to sea with Fancy Nancy being your supreme leader. The great thing about this break off process is, y'all wouldn't have the sticks/home fires any longer and we conservative's will no longer be paying yearly to rebuild your homes.

Got to love the tin hat,
James, in your case your just spewing for a personal comeback Your left coast was in the process of implementing a pay the athlete/student, please note I didn't say student/athlete, kind of sounds like a Fancy Nancy P. proposal. Many other college athletic departments stated, great we'll never play a left coast team again. Maybe your U.S. news is delayed for several weeks. What's really going to happen after the NCAA took a grip on the issue. The NCAA's Board of Governors voted Tuesday to allow college athletes to receive compensation for their names, images and likenesses. A discussion could be had about the winners and loser of that decision.

What does this insane rant have to do with electric towing? Or anything on this forum? Was it the Ford joke? I legitimately thought they were drunk posts until I saw the timestamp of 8am on a Saturday.
If you'd like to start a thread on Democrats or College Athletes that's fine, but holy sheebus keep it out of this thread/forum. Yikes!
What I'm doing has nothing to do with politics. Way better for the environment, and way better for my wallet, all I really care about. I'll keep on truckin'!
