One thing we always look for is a flat and true outer lip for using typical 3-point camber gauges and string alignment tools.

We just bought an entire production run of the MOMO Podium wheels.  I have 150 sets in stock.  We have had very good luck with how they hold up.  In my opinion they are not the most attractive wheels on the market, but you can't do better than $475 for a set of wheels.  It is also nice that if you get a bent wheel from contact you don't risk ending up with a bunch of mismatched wheels.  MOMO has assured us that if we keep ordering large quantities they will not discontinue this wheel.

That's good info, Ben.  I'm buying some more wheels in the near future and ad hoc availability is one of my biggest concerns when choosing.  I may pick up a set of them to check out.

I'm also looking for another set of wheels before June and am choosing between the Momos from Ben or the TRs from Tire Rack unless someone out there has a good used set they are trying to get ride of.  If so, please PM me.

I know there has been a lot of heat on them about that. I managed to keep 4 sets that I prefer. When I won the NASA champs last year,  they quickly posted a picture promoting that I won with their wheels, I'm sure the check is in the mail for the advertising   All kidding aside, I have never experienced a failure. They bend easier than others, but overall, i think they were the best wheel to date for SM

I just ordered a set of the Momos from Advanced. All things considered including shipping I saved over 130 compared to TR. Plus they come with the 17mm lug nuts. But I had to order the valve stems from somewhere else. Kind of a pain.

They don’t carry valve stems? Odd, given they must stock plenty for internal use. I recommend the stubby rubber ones because they are least vulnerable to leaks or damage from close contact. I don’t have the NAPA part number handy but they were dirt cheap in boxes of 50.

I just bought a set of D-Force wheels from 5x Racing.  I tie down my car by running straps through the wheels so the Momo and JRW don't work for me.  The old favorite Team Dynamics work reasonably well for my tie downs too.

I like the TRM (BMW E30 25mm fitment), easier to clean than the Momos.  My local shop that mounts my tires didn't have the right adapter to balance the momos.  The backside of the flange isn't flat for a good mounting surface with their equipment.  Not sure if that's unique to my shop.

 

The JRWs look great and I'll consider those if I need more.
