Or another Religious reference is to observe the 11th commandment: "Thou shall not get caught!"

I like mine blended with salt.

As far as parking is concerned, I will have my 24' enclosed trailer and Motor Home. The MH doesn't need pavement and will park in grass close by.

Bruce, you will have to tell me sacramental wine story while we sip on red cups of yellow liquid which if asked we will refer to as "Mountain Dew".

I'd personally love to park my 28' MH and 20' enclosed trailer just off the pavement under a nice shade tree on a soft manicured lawn, next to a power pole, but seriously I am needing to get a better feel to how the parking will be laid out. Just when I think I had the north paddock figured out, we move south. I plan on arriving mid afternoon, so any assistance or pre planning would be appreicated. Since my SM is not street legal, I am stuck at the track for 4 days, so power would be nice and close proximity to a rest room would be a plus. And since I think I am the oldest (well Phil Rees has me by a year) that should count for something, right??

Looking forward to a great weekend.....

With regards to margaritas, just make sure that 1) there are no visible alcohol containers and 2) you use discreet glasses for your "non-alcoholic" drinks. PIR is a city park so the rules for drinking are restricted, i.e. if the city sanctioned vendor sells it, its okay :)

Just want to make sure everyone knows the "official" rules, nod-nod, wink-wink, say no more.

Yeah Max is right there near the entrance, so you can go downtown and dine to your heart's content.

27 entries! Who are all these cockroaches that came out of the woodwork? After second in Conference last weekend (eat your heart out Phil Rees)(only because of luck and Dave Dunning wasn't there) it looks like my aspirations of mid-pack have gone to end of the line. This pool is deep, fast, and tough! This is going to be fun. Here's to a clean, fast race and a toast to Jeff afterwards!

Bruce, you hit that registration number pretty right on.....looks like we are sitting just shy of 30 if you count that lone CSM entry - not sure what that means. Heck, I'm as CSM prepped as anyone. But, looks like a very diverse field. Should be as fun in the back as it will be in the front. I bet the action among the top 10 or so is going to be very heated. Almost, wish I could watch this race! But I certainly agree with the now "fast and furious" Terrell, that my hope is good clean racing for everyone! As a first time Rose Cup participant, I am very much looking forward to the entire weekend. And then a Monday appointment at Loynings - I know, I'm doing it bass ackwards. :P

OK...so what's this 30 % change of showers Saturday and Sunday BS?? I know what 70% means, but hears hoping 30% in Portland portends mostly dry. Crap, now I have to load up my rains!

LOL, 30% means that it will be wet in the carousel and dry on the west end. :)

Not sure but I wonder if 30% chance of showers is better than 30% chance of rain!

A big thanks to Bruce for doing what he could to put together some contegency and the 40 minute race! Sure made for quite the fun weekend! Also for the BBQ!

I had my best weekend at PIR by far, running consistent 34.6's, with data showing I could run 32's if I had a hair more horsepower. Our purple car was DIALED!

Also thanks to Tom Ferrara for trying to put me in the wall on the start. Yeah, yeah, I'm dating your daughter, but at least I put my rain tires on the right direction ;)

Thanks to all who attended. Was so cool seeing a deep grid once again!

Final results.

http://www.wilzone.c...ophyResults.pdf

Congrats to Robert on another win and Thomas on his well deserved second. Edited: The video is amazing, but something I would never show publicly -- just too much raw emotion in that cockpit, but what a run it was :)

The SOM deliberated until 8:00pm and did an outstanding and thorough job collecting witness statements and watching videos. Randi Graffy stuck around to post these results. This is a part of SCCA I've never seen before, and I have to say they I'm very very impressed by the professionalism. I sure wish I could have sprayed champagne, but I'm glad the kids got their day in the limelight, maybe they can photoshop this (taken at 8:30pm) in before the loud pedal is published :D
