Thanks, I'll have to think about taking back all the abuse I've been giving you on the SM Forum.

Track Record for SM: 1:16.802 by Charlie Campbell in October 2008. SSM and SMT records are 1:19'ish. Podium race times last year were in the 1:19 range.
Just checked Mylaps from last June. Confirming Jerry's comments above, my best lap was in the mid 1:19's and I generally ran flat 1:20's. The pole was 1:19.

On another note, I am not going to be able to make this event but I am looking for someone who is coming through Columbus, who can pick up one R-6 for me from Hoosier?

BTW our PCA region had a DE at Nelsons a few weeks back had a driver have pretty bad wreck coming out of the carousel and over the tire wall no personal injury thanks to a battered roll bar. We are going to get 4 or 5 of the PCA regions to pitch in some money and hopefully approach SCCA to see if we can get some money together to put some sand traps in a few key places. Those tire walls are launching pads. I climbed one myself.

SCCA isn't who you want to approach. Its going to be Nelson's themselves. Even then don't expect it to change. The track has been this way for years.

Maybe I need to clean up my comment. I understand that its the tracks responsibility. They just have no money. The Idea is to get some track people from all clubs who go there, get someone with a truck, a back loader and then get the money to buy the materiel and then get volunteers to do the work and then go to the track and say with your blessing and supervision we want to make some safety improvements. I know our PCA region would be willing to kick in some money and it takes money. So since SCCA puts on events at this track, and Safety is a concern of the organization as well as the drivers. its a way to help and improve the situation.I don't think track improvements are the SCCA's domain. (AJ beat me to it)
Does that sound Doable?

If anyone knows the driver of #2 (I don't have any time sheets) get him this link. He was convinced he was not the cause of the big accident on Sunday. Video says otherwise.
