Satire is primarily a literary genre or form, although in practice it can also be found in the graphic and performing arts. In satire, vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, and society itself, into improvement.[1] Although satire is usually meant to be funny, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon.

When does all the fun start? is it on race monitor?

I've been having a pretty good time...... Oh, you mean the race. As always the big boys will be on TV live on Speed. Don't know about the other classes. They do put the Rolex and Continental Tire classes on the site after the race. They should be doing that with B-Spec but I don't think they are ponying up the dough to cover it. I'd watch even if it wasn't for this trainwreck of a thread. B Spec is a good idea. There is live T&S on the Grand Am site. Perhaps they'll stream at least the scoring.

Danica?...... :whistling:

First practice for that group will be Sat morning, 11:10 local time. It's like short track, a quick practice or two, quals then the race. Race is Sun, before Rolex. A short two day show must help keep it cheap. Come in Sat morn, minimal tires and fuel and boggie out if you can during the Rolex race.

We are packed ready to head up there but had a problem and was on the fence about going. My wife is having a battle with cancer for the last 3 weeks and has been getting Chemotherapy and radiation. Last week she was admitted at Memorial West Hospital with a serious and could be fatal infection and her T-cell count went down to 1.2 I was sitting every night with her providing comfort and prayers. All this time I was hoping she would recover fast. I just got her out of the hospital on Wednesday, she was very weak but getting better and I was not 100% sure if I can leave her along. Thursday came and we were still planning to leave and even had the car loaded. I called her during the day and she was having complications again breathing. I contacted Grand Am and explained the situation and their response was stay home with your family, family comes first and we will see you at the next event. My decision was made to stay with my family and help with her recovery. I really wanted to be there but this was a serious situation for my family and there was no way I was going to leave my wife along suffering. All this smack on the forum is nothing compared with a family member suffering from cancer. I wish no one on this forum to ever have to go through this. When I raced at the last Grand Am I was racing for the fight against cancer and had stickers on my car for support and devoted the win to my wife and all others suffering from this nasty disease.

There will be more races and will try to attend either Mid-Ohio or Watkins Glenn with Grand Am as long my wife gets through this. Family comes first.

Not the sort of thing you want to think about leading into Mother's Day. Our women are the forces behind most of our efforts in life. Ernie, our thoughts and prayer's go out to you and your family.

I wanted to thank you all for the support. Yes and you are right for this to happen through Mothers day too. Yesterday she had lock jaw from another pill they gave her but she is a little better today. Looks like mothers day will be at home with the family. Support the fight against cancer. God Bless

The Fiestas struggled in NJ a bit as well.. So maybe we started lynching Ernie a little too soon? The car was faster imo, but jumping to illegal right away by many probably wasn't fair either. We all realize how long we have spent "balancing " four versions of a miata's ( many think it is still screwed up). Bspec is not going to be perfect from day one either.

Thoughts and prayers with your wife as well
