I will start uploading the first half. Going to take about 8 hrs. Are you kidding you cant see? the race was way bad on conditions. You got to love the out braking we do on the competition. Mazda brakes are great.

Ok just started downloading first 22min. yea we do know the puddles we hit them last weekend at the FARA race. My big problem in the race was sitting on the grid so long in the rain the windshield fogged up and the defroaster was not cutting it. I tried to wipe the windshield but could only reach the top half. The race started and it was down hill from there, could not see my braking points or apexs but was trying to wing it. Luckly the double yellow caution came out for several laps. I used that time to slide forward as much as I could to wipe the windshield which worked. When we got the green and the windshield cleared up and was able to hit my marks again for some more fast laps.

Figured you guys would spring for some new video equipment with the new car. Sound still sucks...may I suggest a GoPro HD2....that way I won't have to have a few drinks before settling in for some race video viewing! Hey, I thought only the Northwest raced in monsoon conditions?

Dont know what you are watching but I was all over Chip and the others in the braking and on the gas sooner. You guys were braking at the 200 mark on turn 8 and I was at 150. You guys were lifting in turn 1 and I was all out. Thats why every corner I got closer and won the race. Just stop acting like a sore looser. By the way thank chip for hitting my car in turn 4 on the pace lap on purpose, payback was a bitch with us winning. You will see that in the video too. Anyway why are you starting trouble here you guys are Ford racers and this is a Mazda Forum with a Mazda win?

You don't sound like a winner? I have never heard anyone defend a win as hard as you're defending yours. I would think you would be proud in the fact you took your sons car and ran through an un-competitive field in all three sessions. I personally don’t take offense in not knowing how to drive, but the others might. I mean you were over 2 seconds faster than the field.

After the win and in victory lane when I said “Congrats on the Win” you told me to "Learn How to Drive". That was an AWESOME comeback by the way.

Be Proud Dude. You beat everyone at your Home Track.

Congrats Chip Howell on the top 5! I would have felt pretty good just finishing that race. B)

I would say Ernie 's season just got a lot harder with having made as many enemies as he has, in the Sportsman Showcase no less.

I don't think you'll need the video for popcorn. Just reading thread is entertaining enough. I don't usually drink before noon, but a beer might go good with the popcorn about now.

This thread is entertaining. Our friends at World Challenge and Grand Am have collected valuable data for use to go over. We will review the data soon and make any necessary changes.

The one observation I have is the Mazda 2 and Fiesta have the same size brakes, but the Mazda 2 is 275 pounds lighter. It is all part of the balancing act. PK

Why don’t you tell the whole story, you told me in as we were walking up the stairs "nice to have a strong motor huh" in a sarcastic tone of voice as I was going to shake your hand. So what were you really saying??? I had 2 team drivers walking behind that heard all this. I really respected you till that point. I lost respect for you at that moment. Because you lost to a Mini and me in the Mazda we are cheating, grow up. You should have been more professional and maybe took after how the mini guys were. We all congratulated each other except for you but I guess you being mixed up with Chip and being pissed that you lost. Why are you and Chip the sore losers? It was a great race and you simply got beat by the Mini and Me in the Mazda. It’s funny Todd and Chip were the only racers out there with chips on their shoulders.
Lets do a Play by Play of the weekend. At the Grand Am trailer our crew chief went up to chip to say hello and Chip walked away.
Next. At the Start of the race Chip hits my car from behind on the pace lap on purpose.
As we were walking up the stairs I reach to Todd to shake his hand and he pulls away and says “nice to have a strong motor huh” in a sarcastic tone of voice so I then say learn how to drive in the rain. In all the years racing and walking the podium I have never heard such a thing.
I turn and Robbie and me shake hands and congratulate each other.
After the trophies presentation I turn to you again and put my hand out and we shake hands and we both say great race.
That was the Play by Play
