This whole topic was started by a Francis, not sure who really posts under Jr's name if it is really him or Sr. but Nobody started talking till the topic posted up HYPING the story. It isnt as if a whole thread was started just to bash someone, unfortunatly I think many take offense with the constant HYPE everytime you guys have a good result. I personaly race alot, I lose races far more often than I actually win one. I havent been at it for 25 years, but Mr. Francis I have beaten you before and I have only been racing since 2010. Most guys that win do not even post anything about their win. normally their peers recognize them for their win... then sometimes they may comment, as to how if feels to finally get that big win.

Hi new to the form, but my 2 cents:

Just watch the video, you will see the the camera car pulls in only under braking.

Just my point!!! The Mazda should never be that much faster. I just think these drivers were not familar with the track, conditions or their cars. I would like to know when have the fords been at Homestead Speedway Testing since we have been testing the car from the begining of the year. By the way there was another Mazda 2 racing but he also hit the brakes early and we passed him. So it is not the Mazda.

Jr actually started the thread and was posting to show Mazda takes a win then Matt decided to come in for some bashing and said the car was illegal. Thats when I stepped in and put the video showing the driving lines, braking points and passes.

By the way when have I raced with you and in what class?

I didnt run the 8hr. I ran the sprints and it was my first time at the track in a Spec Miata. I know as we got used to the track at the end of the day we finished 3rd and 4th in the toy run. that was fun.

I think the toy run was the Sunday race? If so I was driving home to Ohio we left Sunday morning early, Todaro and I were tired and wanted to get home after the drive down, the scamble for the enduro even starting 2 laps down, and then the Sprint Race on Saurday, well I should mention the mass quantities of beer we consumed It was by far and away the most fun NASA event I have have ever done!

You must be pretty good, you beat Sr. and he has been racing 25 years. I know that was his first race at Road Atlanta in a Miata so maybe you shouldn't get too excited. On the other hand I bet he has many more laps there than you, so you should probably send out a press release.

The best I got there was 1:47s. but that was the first time there racing Spec Miata. We will be there for the next toy run in Nov.

MPR I'm not even going there. I was simply pointing out that I have beaten him, it was my second trip there... and well i had 2.5 hours of drving in the enduro, my first trip there was a disaster, the practice was red flagged after 2 laps, the qualifier was red flagged after 3 laps or so and then in the race I still had no idea where I was going, second day was a bit better. I have been back twice since, for the 8 hr weekend and the SCCA dbl in March, where I had many mechanicals, and some coaching help and got to the mid 145's which is still utterly uncompetitive at that track.

Sorry not many laps at Road Atlanta but tons of laps at Homestead Speedway...lol
