Please join us for the 57th running of the WeatherTech Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints, June 15-17, 2012 at Road America.

Please note we will be using a deferred payment plan this year. Entry fees and parking fees will not be charged to your credit card until after June 11.

Kevin, at the Farm last weekend a flier was handed out relative to IT drivers being invited to the 2012 June Sptints entering in STO, STU & STL. I presume this is all in an attempt to bolster the bottom line. Your region may have missed some regional racers. Those that race Spec Miata's with a regional license. Yes, I understand they may get away with entering as an IT car but they also may like to race in the Spec Miata race group.

Site readers this request is not for the "Self Proclaimed Expert", he holds a national license.

'He" is not interested in doing the June Sprints. I'm interested to see if the fast & furious 1.6 that races in the Southeast comes to the June Sprints or the Runoffs schedual permitting.

Loshak wants to do the June Sprints to which I've said, let's do the Super Tour at Blackhawk Farm where the driver is a larger part of the equation. A couple years ago a 1.6 beat some pretty stout competitors at Blackhawk Farm during his first trip to the track. A couple of those guys he beat could well call the track their home track. As a matter of fact the driver is from Ohio.

IMO, the 1.6 will be NO MORE competitive this year than it has been since 2006.. Even at Road America. As I have stated before, it is down to car and driver... As it always has been. Buras will compete for the win because he is a top driver in a top car. We still plan on beating him as he plans on beating us, but the race winner will not, nor has it ever been determined by the year of the car.
