Ira,

Let me start with saying, you are wrong! I, like everyone else have an opinion the diffrence is, I keep it to my self, I am not going to be suckered in to this type of venue to argue with anyone. I know what is going on better than most, as I have mentioned before I am friends with everyone at the club and have been competing for almost 6 years now, with NASA. Furthermore, I have the experience to know what exactly happened by just looking at the video, I have been doing this racing stuff from a very young age. In addition I have a business that depends on the turnout at these events so voicing my opinion could be potentially damaging to me, my family and to my friends, so I am smart enough to leave it alone.

Here is why I am posting at all. You merger is fantastic and nobody would be happier than I at your success, however the 10+ drivers you bring is not going to sustain NASA Florida. We, us a club, cannot afford being perceived as a bunch of idiots to the rest of the racer world, it hurts our club, and that is what I care about. If that means keeping our opinions to ourselfs than so be it. This is not about me, you, breathless etc it is about the Club, and looking at it any other way is completely selfish.

“You stood there and listened to the lies about Sunday and even watched the video of Nick trying to take Jr out and yet you did not see it.”

I will break my rule just once and give you an opinion about your statement above.

That is not an attempt to take Jr. out, if you turn up the audio you will listen to Nick lifting and getting off him to the left. Trust me that is not how you take someone out. I am not going to tell you how it is done, especialy on this forum but trust me that is not it.

The conclusion is, that you made an accusation, based on an assumption and formulated an opinion, fueled by your inexperiance. Normaly that all would be fine for some minor thing I suppose, but in this case you are accusing someone of something serious and you ARE WRONG! Your accusation does not hurt Nick here, because anyone with any experience knows by watching the video that Nick did not try any such thing, but rather you are hurting NASA Florida.

“Its funny that after the SCCA bunch of 3 came to NASA we had all these problems.”

These guys did not just come to NASA, they have been competing and contributing for many years well before you even knew what NASA was. They have more of a say than you and Linda based on tenure and experience, and contributions they have made to the club.

“That is not right, If you do not want to stick up for the truth well that is your choice and you made your decision for all of us.”

I am not exactly sure what that means? Stick up for the truth? YOU DON’T HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE TRUTH IS, to put it bluntly you simply don’t have the experience nor do you know the players well enough. You can look at a video 100 times and you would not have a clue as to what you are watching, you don’t know what the car feels like on the edge, you don’t know the track well enough, you want me to go on ‘cause I can. Do I sound pissed, yes I am because it seems to me that your statement is some sort of threat. If not, my appologies but if it is, than it is another severe error in judgment on your part.

If you want to talk about this further call me. I have taken enough space here.

Jimmy

Wow a very good post that makes 100% sense, surely we need to delete this one :) It just doesnt seem to belong here :)

Jim,

For science, I think we should leave the thread open as a test of Godwin's Law.

http://en.wikipedia..../Godwin%27s_law

Duncan

Duncan:

The problem is now everyone knows about Godwin's law, so even if it does trend to right-wing extremist themes someone can claim the poster did it on purpose, therefore Godwin's law does now apply.

Effff.

The only thing I can think of now is to hijack the thread completely to make it go away.

So who is coming to Watkins Glen in July? If you come and you're cool and nice and race clean, come over and have a cookie and a beer. If we have contact, come over (if you hit me), let's discuss it over a cookie and a beer. If I tapped you (or spun in front of you), I'll come to you probably with water in hand to see how you are and apologize

Watkins Glen in July, great race, fun people. Just throwing it out there. Run SM, SM2 or STL, maybe even Pro-IT. Remember, it's about fun.

Thanks Jim P. I agree with you 100% and I am the first to say I have very little experience but I am trying very hard to learn from everyone. My car is fixed and I am over this and moving on. There was some good racing on the weekend and I took the entire incident much too personally. I apologize for any comment about Sunday since I did not witness any of it (if it ever happened). I should not have jumped in with that and for that I am sorry. I should have just stuck to my incident. Saturday was a little rougher than what I expected at this race and I actually really had fun racing with Tim in race 2. One thing about Miata's, there's always someone to race with no matter where you are in the field.

I'm out of here. Going to find something more productive to do with my time.

This will never end, everyone has their own thoughts. I think this post should have never got started; it only takes the fun away from the events. Maybe in the future the moderators of the forum will look at post getting started and shut it down before it goes out of hand. Post like these are personal attacks and will only end up in a he said she said. As far as the rules go I follow what the race director of NASA says not Breathless. In my NASA test it talks about going to the race director after an incident. I will continue to follow the rules of NASA at a NASA event.

All in all this is getting old, let’s move on to better subjects and make it fun for everyone to go racing, I know I am. Too many negative posts and attacks. This thread should be dropped. I think Nick and High Chair should just drop this subject and stop reposting over and over again. We all have our own thoughts of all that happened. Maybe in the future we can all look at this and laugh about it. Its racing for a 2 dollar trophy…lol Enough of the bad talk I would rather go racing.

Satire is primarily a literary genre or form, although in practice it can also be found in the graphic and performing arts. In satire, vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, and society itself, into improvement.[1] Although satire is usually meant to be funny, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon.
