Thanks for saving me a lot of $ Mike.... I'm outI need to inform all other run-offs competitors that I am now 8 seconds UNDER the Road America track record, IN my 94, ON my XBOX, which proves the 94 is the car to have.
SCCA should just mail my trophy and save us all a lot of gas and time.

I wonder how much Microsoft paid Coello to license his car!

Just my opinion on why Runoffs entries are down.
10-The allure of the Runoffs at Road America has washed away
9-Too long of a commitment, even with the "shortened" cough cough schedule
8-Poor officiating at times at Road America. Yes I know this is Topeka running and not Chicago Region. But it is still a lot of the same people
7-I can out drive him, but he spent big bucks on the BIG motor syndrome.
6-Need a 99. Perceived or reality?
5-Waiting untill the 50th Anniversary of The Runoffs in 2013
4-I did not know I was eligable. I can not understand the eligability rules.
3-Too far from the Eutopian tubes of Texas.
2-Everybody cheats and my car is legal
And the number one reason;
It's the economy stupid !!!!!!
Dave
Having run the Runoffs and/or June Sprints and NASA Champs in 1.6s and 99s both, I'll agree with 10, 9 ,8, 3, and add a few new ones:
11. Drafting is too important at RA
12. The place scares the bejeebers out of me if it rains.
13. The test days suck and are diabolically expensive.
I like RA and Mid O equally, not counting these factors.

All you have to do is look at the low number of entries at RA and see the apathy of the racers that are campaigning non 99 cars
Either that, or it is a result of the dwindling pirate population causing global warming, thus putting the heat-soak-prone 1.6 at an insurmountable disadvantage!

Drago
thanks for setting me straight about my opinion why the numbers are down. I'll be sure to check in with you next time before I venture forth with something so far off the mark..........................................Lesson learned!
I rarely get involved in the more controversial threads but feel I need to step in for Danny here lest people get the wrong idea. I've been racing with him under the OPM tent for the last 4 years and his commitment to data analysis and set-up is second only to his willingness to share what he is learning with anyone who sits in front of his monitor. I and countless others have uploaded data to his big-screen and he has spent hours critiquing our talent or lack thereof. His focus and his coaching are centered on driving, the size of one's attachments, setup, and motor, in that order. Perhaps his obfuscation is intentional but many of us under the OPM tent are faster thanks to his driver coaching. Tom's pretty helpful as well but he usually skips his Ritalin on race weekends and its' hard to get him focused.

4 years at the big dance and can't quite do it. How's that for smack, Danny?
Bad news for everyone else is that comparing him to the Bills just motivates him more.
