Q1 in the books. Barely nailed the pole but very happy to do it for my sponsors, Rossini Racing Engines, OPM Autosports, Traqmate Data Systems, Carbotech Brakes, Adept Studios.

But the real reason of this post is to Pat Skip Brock on the back. In 6 years of racing with Skip I have never seen him drive as well as he did this morning. Nothing short of amazing.

And huge congrats to OPM for getting 5 out of the top 7 qualifiers in Q1.

Not sure but he shows 2nd on the sheet here at the track. On a side note not much drama here and the weather could not be better. It seems as if everyone is just content with waiting for the rule change and having a good weekend. Congratulations to Danny and Skip both of whom are driving very well. I think the race will be a very good one.

No,we did not. Ask Carbonnel about a fender line even being too large

 

What rule or reference is used for that?  My car has been whacked enough times that stuff doesn't always line up that great.  I'd like to get it as close as I can but I don't know what the spec is.

I really like hearing the possibility of "fix it tickets" being passed out. :thumbsup:

 

It could be the sheriff in each region, SM director, of even tech receiving some info.

For the first time in the history of the universe, Danny asked me to work with him in qualifying. I figured this was my shot at the big time. I was really feeling the heat, so I drove the car like I stole it. Luckily, the plan worked out - Danny on pole and me Q3. Ricky and Ryan at OPM did a stellar job of prepping the car at the shop. The car hit the ground with a spot-on setup. Thanks also to Sam Nelson of Nelson Engines for the go-power. And thanks to Jim Creighton for bringing his Whistler to test day. It did much to calm everybody's nerves.
