As for the phones with spotter in the car, we have already decided we are texting pictures of naked women to Drennen during the race at THill

Not a fan of spotter being made mandatory. I've heard it is unreliable, and of course there will be a delay between an incident and when it actually shows up on the app. I would also rather have all drivers' eyes looking out the windshield and in their mirrors, along with the corner workers looking at the incident rather than reporting the incident to the race director or their phones or however it works. I also don't want a corner worker and the app telling me two different things.
If anyone has experience with the app I would like to hear about your thoughts on the issues above. As of now my stance is that just because technology can be applied to something, doesn't mean it always should be.

I heard at the 25hrs it didnt work very well at all. What happens when the phone starts ringing and texts start coming in while you are trying to race. I dont even use it while I am spotting for my son in the stands. I am not a fan.

A few of things about racing that makes it safer than the tow to the track: We are all going the same direction, nobody is DWI and nobody is on a cell phone.

I'm hoping my old iPhone will work just off WiFi. Besides the fact that AT&T sucks a$$ at Thunderhill so I get nothing there anyway. We shall see.

Hmmm...WiFi? Since you have to be in or right outside the building for this to work(TH)...that would be an awesome track up grade!

You guys remember this?
It was in my April Thunderhill News letter so I'm assuming they're promoting it.

Some other stuff...
No More Dropped Calls
Thunderhill Raceway park will soon be the sight of much-improved Verizon cell telephone service in West Glenn County. The 60-foot tower will enhance cell, internet and other on-line services to those within reach of the boosted signal.

The impetus for the expansion is the increasing volume of media and other major internet feeds emanating from the 530 acre recreational road racing facility. The online date is expected to be in early June as part of the grand opening of the new track extension on June 21st for an SCCA Double Championship regional points race. [/quote]

Be at the Farm end of month???
Yes, sir. I'm planning on it. A couple other guys from my area are already signed up.
We have a PDX/CTT at IA Speedway the week before BHF so I was going to wait to sign up until after that event to make sure everything was good with the car.
