99% of the costs are the same for every year; roll cage, seat, belts, wheels, tires, springs, shocks, sway bars, bushings, trans, clutch etc. Assuming you start out with equal condition donors, any year built to the same quality will be pretty darn close to the same price. 1.6 cars are older and generally need some extra TLC to make them equal. They are also more finicky on set up and tuning. But the build cost is the same +/- $1500

Dave

Just goes to show you how supply and demand drives the price point! Be it new builds or used cars!

I agree with most, but I would say the 1.6 can easily be north of $3000.. the cost of the diff alone vs a Torsen is quite a big expense, then you have the latest air cleaner, blueprinted afm.. special gold foil wrap.. :)

According to my super secret log in there is not a waiting list at the moment so there are openings in all race groups. If you've been hesitating because of a wait list its time to sign up now.

I am wondering if you think a website will make the 1.6 faster? I'm quite sure that chroming the zundapp-fudel bearing would be helpful also. :)

I'm quite sure the 1.6er's posting, complaining on this website, collecting data and writing letters to the CRB moved the needle for the 1.6.

I have a website. If that is making me faster...well, then that is damn sad.

Its pretty easy, they will give you a map for the pavement and they want you to abide by the parking directions and leaving a drive way. otherwise its first some first serve. there will be no reserved parking.

Well as of now there are only 62 cars register so it looks like everyone is in.

There are only 9 NA cars out of 62 so it looks like it's about an even turn out ! Lol :)

Will we be still lining up in the order that we registered or is it back to the old way (first come first served) because we are under the track max now ?

you will find out when you pick up your packet. but that is still big numbers when you get two groups down at grid. The group that is going out and the group that is next. Just no way to go down early as the grid goes back past the utility building.
