UPDATE FOR THE MID OHIO OVR SCCA MAJORS!!
Attention entrants! There have been two updates to the Supps for the upcoming Majors at Mid-Ohio June 3-5 2016, pertaining to START/FINISH and PACE/SAFETY Car. They are as follows
START/FINISH: All race starts will be at the back straight start stand which is located at station 3. Restarts and the checkered flag will be at the front straight start stand. The timing control line is the line located on the front straight just before the front straight start stand. For all races, timing will start when the front row crosses the front straight timing line. On the first lap, the pace car will pace the field to station 2 and then exit the track surface on drivers left. Be prepared for this to happen. Front row will then pace the field until the green flag is given.
PACE/SAFETY CAR: In addition to GCR 6.6.2, the field shall follow the PACE/SAFETY car as long as its emergency lights are flashing, even if it varies from the normal race course. In the event of full course yellow results in dispatch of the Safety Car, the Safety Car will enter the racing surface at from either station 2 (will be on back straight between station 2 and station 3) or Pit Out (will be just around the corner from station 1).
Have a safe trip to Mid-Ohio and thank you,

Ok, the St Louis home boys are not entered.
57 entries
6 1.6
3 1.8 NA
48 99 plus
Podium potential, WOW, thirteen 99 plus folks (maybe more) and two 1.6er's. < That's 25% of the class entries. To describe the field, full of heavy hitters.
Hey Kuch, your included.

I came up with about 25 guys that should run top 10.. which leaves 15 people with out a seat

Track is open for SCCA parking starting at 7:00 PM Tuesday night. If you drive fast Dayle, you can be nearly first in line.
We got this straight from Mid-Ohio last week as they have full day test and tunes Weds and Thurs in prep for the event.

Do you know if that includes being able to park if you are NOT testing and tuning?

From what I've been told:
"They'll let you in early. You just can't get in the way of the competition school, etc. As long as folks behave themselves."
In reality, the OVR (and its racers) aren't entitled to anything until 6pm Thursday evening, but due to their good relationship with Mid-Ohio, as long as everyone is being respectful of the Mid-Ohio School events that are going on and don't otherwise be a pain in the ass for any reason, Mid-Ohio will be cool with letting people in whenever. So basically, "don't be that guy who ruins it for everyone else".

This is true, you can load in early but you cannot just park any place. Not in lower paddock in front of garages, there are a few spots saved for the the tire guys. the map in the supps spells out how they would like you to park and leave a lane. there will be paddock patrol and if you do not park as requested they will make you move.
otherwise its open.

OK as i predicted, the paddock parking on pavement was not well organized. People parking every which way. When i went to our last meeting and saw the parking map I knew this would be fun.
I arrived Wednesday night about 8pm most of the upper paddock was full the middle paddock had spots if you can park on the side of a hill.
I ended up parking in the grass mid way up the hill behind the upper paddock.
I will be making some suggestions, and if they listen, we will be going to assigned spots on the pavement, or stricter parking requirements.
See you all at the track.

parking is a zoo. most all of the paved area is taken right now. We ended up scoring garage 15. We had a big thunder storm last night. Hope that get the rain thing out of the way for the weekend.
Y'all have a great event and may all the cars drive into their trailers Sunday afternoon as shiny as they are today.
