Hey,

I can't seem to find the part of the SCCA GCR where it tells us what markings we need on our cars to signify we are still under a novice permit for SCCA.  I have already found it for NASA, but the SCCA one eludes me.

Does anybody know where it is or remember the rules of the top of their head?

Thanks,

-Z

There are no GCR requirements for rookie markings.  When required, it's part of the Supps.

It usually will be covered in the supplemental regulations. Normally, it will say that novice permit holders are required to have clearly visible X on the back of the car.

I don't think it is covered in the current GCR. For your own sake and that of others, an X would be a good idea unless you plan to be faster than all the others. Then, it would be considered showing off.

Have fun.

I ran an orange Lic plate, with "N" or "X" I forget.

This one is option behind the driver. :)
