I give up, what is GCR 9.12 ?

Help, I'm really having a bad day. Can someone please using math show me how Q fast time of 1:59.608 equates to the 115% rule equal to 2:17.549 ? If I take 1:59 = 119 x 1.15 = 135.85/60 = 2:26

% - more than 115% top qualifier (2:17.549)

1:59.608 = 119.608 x 1.15 = 137.549
137.549 - 120 (2 minutes) = 2 min 17.549 seconds
2:17.549

When you divide by 60 the resulting number references 100. Just easier to go backwards using 120 second reference.

Does anyone know the exact gcr 9.12 violation? Just curious

I think 9.12 must really be Runoffs Supps 9.12. which is the spec fuel. Maybe forgot to pump dry after testing?

I was not commenting on the rules.  I know the rules, anyone that has been to the runoffs knows the rule on fuels.

Similar occurrence for the polesitter Monday in FE.  They had just a smidge of leftover fuel in the car from Sunday test day and added the spec fuel for Q1 and failed the fuel test after Q1.   Retested after eliminating all of the old fuel and then passed.

SCCA will check your fuel for free any time during the event. There's even a "fuel" garage set aside just for that purpose. We had our fuel checked Saturday in all cars and got a slip of paper confirming legality.

not based on the combined sheet on the scca site.  pole is a 50.521 and 10th is a 51.518, so that would only be the top 10.  after q2 top 15 in sm are within a second, pole is 59.608 and 15th is a 2:00.590 (really should include 16th since that time is a .639 but didn't want to be accused of cherry picking).

So, I says to my man on the scene at Indy, where did Reyonlds (a great wheelman) find all the speed after the last few SM Runoffs being not so good? Then I asked how P$ is hanging with Haldeman? My man on the scene said they both have cars from the Keith Kunz of Spec Miata racing.
