Oops. *Astacio moves into 21st place*

:toast: , to be honest I will be happy with that. I was in Sebring the 1st year I started racing back in 2016 and it was a horrible trip for me. I crashed and wrecked my car twice..

In my opinion, the Sebring Majors is one of the toughest and most competitive races of the year. Right up there with June Sprints and Runoffs. 2017 had so many fast people, that I considered finishing P7 a win for me. I remember the first time in my 99, it was the second race in that car, I finished 19th and I was ecstatic because I was in the 30's and 40's the year before.  I just hope for everyone else make it out in one piece and for everyone to have a fun weekend!

That's because we could never get the Florida prima donnas to come to TWS to take their medicine. We have to go to the home tracks and beat them there so they can claim they had the best fields.  I think their best possible finish at TWS would have been P15 maybe P10 if they spent two weekends at the track.

For all you guys that like to arrive to grid 3 hours before practice/qualifying, this is in the Supps:

GRID: Starting positions for the Friday practice sessions will be set using each driver’s post mark/timestamp of their Entry form. Do not go to Grid until your group is called, your spot will be waiting. Failure to follow directions of Grid staff may result in official action.

Practice time will start when cars enter the course; for the first lap of each practice session, white flags will be displayed at all stations. Starting positions for the first Qualifying sessions will be determined by the fastest time recorded for each car during the preceding practice sessions. Starting positions for the second Qualifying sessions will be determined by the fastest time recorded for each car during the preceding Qualifying sessions.

I have to ask.  What is official action? Is there some catch all rule in the GCR that says if you don't comply with a supp (x) is the penalty?

That makes it a bit more complex to go out with a practice or qualifying buddy, but I'm sure it will all sort out on track. I can't remember if I registered early or late, it feels like registration has been live since the day after Turkey Trot.

How could you not comply? They grid you for practice like it's a race. They've done this at Midohio for awhile. People pull over in the pits to find their buddies.

The penalty was if you showed up early not if you didn't fall in line.  So how do they penalize that?

If the supps say don't show up early to grid and you show up early to grid, you're out of compliance with the supps.

If an official tells you to move your car and you refuse you've disobeyed the instructions of an official.

Both can be penalized like any other infraction.

Even with a lot of key names missing this year, like Bolanos, Rollan, Carbonell, Steyn, Collum, Holton, and a few others that typically race this event, we still have a pretty star studded line up!

In Alphabetical order:

Alex Acosta
Andrew Charbonneau
Blake Clements Per MazdaMotorSports "
