Even with a lot of key names missing this year, like Bolanos, Rollan, Carbonell, Steyn, Collum, Holton, and a few others that typically race this event, we still have a pretty star studded line up!
In Alphabetical order:
Alex Acosta
Andrew Charbonneau
Blake Clements Per MazdaMotorSports "we received feedback from Blake Clements, an elite Spec Miata competitor" Blake, sorry, this is a smack thread.
Christopher Haldeman
Craig Berry
Dillon Machavern
Elivan Goulart
Jamie Tucker
Jason Connole
Jim Drago
John Davison
John Wilding
Jonathan Goring
Marc Cefalo
Mark Gibbons
Michael Carter
Nick Leverone
Preston Pardus
Todd Buras
Tom Brown
See the practice times, they may be on to something.
Ok, got to be something within this to SMACK about. What's the side story of Clements #56 and Buras #156.
I was impressed with 56 on the same lap.
Nice job!

Congrats to Michael Carter,Preston Pardus and Chris Haldeman on the podium finishes! Very deep and competitive field.
Tough race through the entire field, more contact then there should have been, but overall just hard racing . The 173 crashed very hard, I don't know who was driving, but assume they were ok
More bump stop dq's today Tech team is here. They put an obd2 data logger in my car and a few others. No idea what was done in tech today, i was busy changing rear knuckles and scaling cars
I moved up two spots tomorrow in qualifying.. I had a terrible session which really screwed up my team mate Craig, sorry. Left him in the kill zone and he had a few new dents from this. This class is getting harder and harder every year, the top 20 at this race are all fast.
Good luck to all tomorrow, hopefully no carnage

Jim, don't feel too bad. I saw the pole sitter at a Road Atlanta Runoffs loop the car leaving the grid and at another Runoffs pace lap saw a formula driver put his car in to the fence at turn 5. Of course, I had one of my prod drivers pull up on the steering wheel at the start of a race and pull it right off the splines. It was exciting since he was on the pole and the entire field split him before turn #1. Jimmy Johnson did the same thing and he's a professional. And you didn't t-bone the pace car like NASCAR driver Tommy Houston did in 1988 at Darlington on pit lane. Houston continued in the race but they had to get another pace car.
Things in all racing seldom go as planned.

So what are they finding with bumpstops? Not genuine Fatcat? Cut too short? Not made of the correct material?
Congrats Preston, Carter, and Todd! The yong guys are really rolling! Preston, Carter and Selin are very fast. The car Selin was in was on Sat., was slower than mine with the caliper locking and fender digging into the tire and he was still very fast!
Thanks to York, Kyle, Robert and Jim for giving me a really good car all weekend. Jim and I both looked like we had never qualified for a race before, and paid the price Saturday with all sorts of damage. Everything was good Sunday, just too good a field to start 17th. Had a ball running with Holton, another young guy who can wheel it! I haven't sat in a race car since June, and it was nice to get back in the groove.
Hope to see everyone at COTA
Nice job guys. It was nice to be out there racing with all of you.
