Are you going around the paddock measuring drivers' penis sizes again? I thought Chris talked to you about that ...

Haldeman's margin of victory in 2018. (1.058 is mis-leading since Sat COTA ended under FCY )

Oddly enough...you're both right.
Should we start a pool regarding 1.058?

I didn't lose, I just got outspent!
Average margin of victory.
In a class where most Super Tour wins are measured in tenths if not hundredths or thousandths of seconds, winning on average by 6+ seconds is ridiculous. Rarely can anyone driver be precise enough to break the draft so effectively that he can get away from the herd.
Just in awe about what he is doing this year, I have raced side by side with him since driver school, he is just on another lever from the rest of us right now.

You better make sure you race with him this season before F1 scoops him up

I haven't followed live timing for every race this year. But, I did for both Hallett races last weekend. Besides the flat out speed, what was even more impressive was the absolute consistency, lap after lap. You could set your watch by his lap times, his fall-off seemed to be about 0.05s per lap (1:27.5 to 1:28.5 over 20 laps). You could practically guess his time at the next S/F by adding 1/2 tenth to his previous lap. Others in the top10 were able to turn a lap time within a 10th or two, but every few laps would drop 6-8 tenths.
Truly impressive for a track that is basically three complexes: 2-3-4-5-6, 7-8-9-10, and turn-1...where there isn't a single "level ground" turn. The only place you truly get a breath is after T1.

Also, if you know Chris, his own car gets the least amount of attention. Customer's cars always come first, his car is rarely the dyno queen nor does it get multiple set up changes in a weekend. Its lucky if it gets any attention at the big races.

Have to give some love on this one. I found seal tape I put on his car from 2015 VIR at 2016 Glen... was rather intriguing...

I know you're being funny...but, nothing could be further from the truth. Chris will give up his car to support a customer. He's done exactly that for Ross in the past.

Also, had him get in my car at NOLA, and go just as fast, saying my car handled better. So, clearly Chris is the real deal and I suck...

So what do you think...
80~90% driver 10~20% car ?
Do you think you should have him check more under the helmet and less under the hood ??

Probably. Though with a few suggestions, I picked up 3.5 seconds.

More people should do this on test day. You get two things, feedback on the car and data to show you where you are missing time.
Absolutely, the biggest problem was that I was approaching a series of corners incorrectly, and not being aggressive enough with the curbs.
Periodic doses of humility can be very beneficial.
