Mean spiritedness.
Wow! Thanks for having a trial without me, Moose. No, because it assumes guilt without any proof.
I was only reminded of Ernie Jr.'s history after I posted.
My intent was genuine. I understand that M-O is all about the set-up and for someone to go from a 1:43.9 (Thu. Qual mid-pack) to a 1:42.7 (Fri Warm Up Fastest Lap) is quite an achievement! Kudos to him!
I'll it to Mike Collins to find any mechanical improprieties.
Peace!

Saul,
So far so good. All of the cars have been visually inspected twice for glaring infractions. So far only two of those found and the drivers made corrections prior to Qualifying.
The scales at Mid-O are corner scales. It is very intersting to see where the set-ups are relative to finishing position....
One car tossed on weight.
More to come tomorrow.
Mike, without naming names, what were the glaring infractions caught by visual?

As you all know I finished 3rd in the qualifying, and I am here to tell you that after it we had the top 3 cars go to the dyno. I was one of them. I am not going to say the numbers for the others except I was 1 hp and 1 tq less then the other 99. So you all know my 1999 car ran 118.5 hp and 109 tq. I am telling you all this so you know that I don't have any massive amount of power, it was all driving.
Best regards

Mike, without naming names, what were the glaring infractions caught by visual?
Wheel spacers too big (track too wide)
Fog lamps removed and opening left uncovered.

Hey Ernie Jr... Mike Sr. here...
I've been in and around Spec Miata since you were in diapers (assuming you've been properly trained and no longer use them). I rarely post here, but I feel I need to.
I'm not sure what to make of you. Maybe you didn't have any birthday parties growing up, that would explain a lot. How do you find a helmet to fit with that big fat ego of yours?
I like to catch up on the forums during lunch, and everytime I read one of your posts, I either get heartburn from hale or explosive diarrhea. I'm sure I'm not alone.
Get over yourself. When you grow up (after puberty), you will look back and realize what a 'tool' you really are.
If it would help... let me know when your birthday is. I'll throw you a big party.

What air pressure were your tires? Just kidding.
Great drive, it proves you have the tallent and don't need to cheat to race with some of the best. Congrats on a great qualifying and go have a fun race.
