You want a legal opinion, Take the current registration list in order that it was received. Will be some pretty bent feelings if people are not given fair notice of the change, unless there is a really good reason why that can't be done.

Registration is not OFFICIALLY open. The 203 people that managed to sign up through the bogus link Lee posted will be notified through their email of record. I'm not sure if they'll be notified tonight, tomorrow, or when the OFFICIAL REGISTRATION opens, but THEY WILL BE NOTIFIED.

You guys sit tight. I'm sure Lee will post the OFFICIAL registration link when it opens.

And you're right -- so far, this has been a crap show. COTA cancelling track days has nothing to do with Lone Star Region, SCCA. Don't want to support a race at COTA? Don't register. 200+ in 2 hours, I'm pretty sure the Region will do just fine without your entry.

The real race may be to see who gets in for the second heat of registration. Blake, being a Texas favorite won Heat number one. I finished a dismal 9th.. I think Steyn was 6th. I plan on winning registration Heat two! BFC you are going down :)

That is just a bowl of peaches. Registration will probably open Wednesday when I am on the road traveling and cannot get to a computer to register. I can't understand why the current list is not good enough, I can see a bad ending.

Frank, it is most definitely a very unfortunate and crappy situation... I'm not sure what the solution is going to be or what the options are but I do know there are some folks working very hard at figuring this deal out. It's especially unfortunate because as the first event at a completely new track these folks ALREADY had a lot on their plate.

This was the only forum I saw a link on when this crap show started this morning... Lee is also on the Lone Star Board, so he's privy to lots more information than I am as a lowly webmaster. You'll have to find where I called ol' Lee dumb and let me know, though. Ugly, sure. Not dumb. ;)

Chris, I don't know who you are, but that attitude is exactly why NASA has double the participants that SCCA does in Texas.

I'm sure it's completely based upon my attitude.
