CSRG (Classic Sports Racing Group), a Northern California vintage racing organization, has received some inquiries from Spec Mazda people out here about having a race group dedicated to "gray haired" Spec Mazda owners. Apparently they're upset at some of the over exuberant driving & are looking for a change.

To that end, we're trying to get a read if there are others out there who are interested in joining us at Thunderhill for our Season Finale on October 31 through November 2. The criteria is simple:

           1. The car must be an SCCA Sealed Spec Miata

           2. The driver must have a Medicare Card

           3. The driver must have a current Medical Card from a VMC (Vintage Motorsport Council) Member Organization

The licensing is pretty simple & any questions can be directed to: Tom Franges, CSRG Race Director, 415.342.1229, or to his email: race_director@csrgweb.org

FYI, CSRG is a non-profit organization that was started in 1968 & we've run vintage races out here ever since.

Please let us know if you are interested.

Thank you

Funny, it's the grey haired guys who keep running into people. Good luck though.

There are a lot of 30 and 40 year old "gray haired" drivers...wouldn't it be simpler to say over 65? Or is it 62?

Shitty driving knows no age...nor does fantastic driving! Because I know most who race SM in SFR, I can tell, a small % participate in this forum. Your best bet is to knock on trailers at race weekends...but not during nap hours ;)
