A tight car is the known difference out here....

Steyn looks to be faster than anyone in the early practice sessions and the only one in the 44s? Hard to tell with the organization of race monitor with the test day.

Very hot test day, times were slow. In the morning the track possibly had a high 1:43 in it but traffic killed any fast times. As the day heated up, times fell of. My 02 is faster through the infield but my 99 makes up more time on the two long straights. Still ran my fastest time with my 02 but I had a huge tow from a Spec E30. Think I will focus on running the 99.

 

Pombo, Drago, Bolanos, Yiannis and a few others were all within a second. Friday has a warmup and two qualifying sessions. Results should fall to the consistent drivers.

Something very wrong with Timing and Scoring this morning. Times on Grid Sheet are not right at all. Some times are 1 to 1.5 secs faster than actually run, and others are slower. Others are spot on. Hope this gets resolved before Q1.

Very fortunate to get one lap completed before I lost 5th gear!!!! Visions of '13 runoffs. Was good enough for third. Went out with Matt and Jonathan, and Jonathan put down an amazing lap behind us to get the pole. Top 10 within 1 second. Lots of tech going on for both front and mid pack drivers.
