You stick a tracking tag on your object (Spec Miata) and place the tripod high enough for a good vantage of the race.  It can pipe to the laptop and upload live to the net.

To steve's point, the tracking drone, that's not far behind.  I've seen applications for that already but the typical drone only has 7-15m flight time right now.

And your doing that ??
or just showing off fancy toys ??

And the drone doesn't have to go 136mph if it's in the infield, depend on the zoom lens, I guess.

So is there going to be a copy of the race posted afterwards for those who missed it ??

So how do you determine who comes out on top if you ran the exact same time as the guy next to you. In other words if 9th place was the same time as 10th then how do you know who comes out ahead?

Looking at P9/10 and P12/13, I'd say tie goes to whichever had it in the earlier session. If the same session, then whichever had the best time in a different session. And if all 4 sessions are identical? Beats me.

Yes you will have to swim across to the island and they will take you. If you hurry you can be back by 730 tomorrow.

GCR 6.4.2 C.

Qualifying time ties are broken by comparing the second fastest
times, and then the third, if needed, and so on until a difference is
found.

I haven't had much time to check in this week.. The time really flies by! Has not been the best of weeks to put it mildly. We can't seem to catch a break this week.. Spent the first two days of qualifying chasing an alternator problem in Craig's car.. So we were slow as a pair. Then on the day we were the fastest my handling was off a good bit and track was green and slow. Yesterday should have been our day and I again missed the handling and punctuated that with an engine starting to lose the bottom so I pulled in early. We should have easily run a very low 19. Erik has been stuck in no mans land a bit as we have been shuffling partners around.

I get to tear that motor down to crankshaft in tech today in order to keep my qualifying position. Head off, all intake valves, cams, 2 exhaust valves, springs, crankshaft, one piston and rod and flywheel. Hopefully we get to do it again tonight or in the morning. The spare is good.. We can win from here if we have our shot together!
Good luck to all tonight, drive hard, be safe!

So...change a motor without proving it's compliant...lose your qualifying spot?  Serious stuff!

??? I don't think that can be the entire process.

P9/10 tied with 2:19.659. P9 next fastest time is 2:20.447 and P10 next fastest time is 2:19.868.

You have to go to the individual time cards to get the second fastest time turned all week. All the grid sheet tells you is the fastest from each session.
