Von Head you are a sad case for a role model or even a man. Attacking Danny because he is from South Africa. Have you done any hate crimes? Are you against me because I am a lawyer? You seem to be the ring leader on attacking members on this forum. Give me a break, you need help. At least one thing I have not seen any more stupid childish videos in your post again.

Bullshit, you were taking a swipe at him based on ethnicity. Your thinking isn't that deep. You weren't doing it as any sort of meaningful commentary, you were doing it to insult another person. Your behavior on the forum is boorish, immature and to me hardly passes the comedic standard. I find very little value in anything you post and think it's more of an attention getting mechanism for your ego rather than a way to socialize and interact with other of similar interests. It's rare I read a post of yours these days except in this case where someone else with whom I've been acquainted makes reference.

The mods here have cut you a tremendous amount of slack. If you weren't part of the clique you would have been bounced long ago. I think it best you unplug for a while and do whatever it is you need to do to get your shit together. Your "wacky" style might be all the rage with your track buddies in FL but to me you appear to be a mean spirited, disgruntled man with a grudge that's become unhinged.

I think you are wrong you can go way back been picking on danny for awhile its alot of fun for me . Sorry to tell you i palyed on a traveling semipro baseball team i was the only white guy on the team . they called me spot . As for you , you have a pretty big voice in this forum and also attack in underhand ways. Might be your avatar has the same meaning shot to kill

Im not going away . I will call anyone out for none truths . my style is me whats your sighn big daddy im thinking torass bull headed and pleasae dont tell me your a lawyer that would make me laugh.

I was at the last 2 races where Jr won and he sat in tech and had no issues. By the way he won both races.

What race was this? Ernie Jr has only raced in two series (maybe you know of others since you're a fan), FARA - which does not use SM rules and has ZERO tech inspection (not even weight), and NASA FL which until recently had only weight and plates as tech. Coincidentally (or not?) there has been a inversely proportional relationship between the amount of tech performed and Ernie Jr/Sr's finishing position....

As I also told you at his last event I asked him what happened and he explained to me he was breaking in a new engine and was down on power.

Sounds like something someone would say to one of his fans or the press. Why would he be breaking a new motor in if the one shown in his videos was so dominant? I wouldn't even check the oil on that thing much less pop the hood.

I wish they broke down your car to check the rods, crank and metal coating in the rotating parts.

They have before at the 2010 and 2011 runoffs, but you should know that since you're such a fan.

You had way too much power on the straight. If you like I will find you a rental car to drive and I can drive yours.
The car he was driving IS a rental and also happens to be the car Jeff Labounty built for himself to run the 2008 ARRC and NASA Nationals. If you are serious about renting (doubtful) contact Jeff and we'll set it up. You pick the car we drive and you can drive whichever one you want.
Blame yourself for taking the sm down.
Man, you're really bad at this fan thing. SM numbers are not going down, it's still the best closed car spec racing there is (better than Porsche Supercup I might add).
You are also blaming Ernie Francis for what. He won the grand am race in B-Spec in the rain against a few top sm drivers. He posted about his win like they did publicly in Grand Am website.
We're blaming Ernie Sr for the following:

1) Cheating
2) Taking advantage of FARA and NASA FL by sponsoring events and banking on the fact that they won't tech him or his cars.
3) Ruining Ernie Jr's career
4) Not taking responsibility for being caught cheating

I'm glad he won the B-Spec race, it means that there's hope that he'll move on to Grand Am and become Mazda North America and Grand Am's problem.
Where were you playing on videos or in your sm car. If you were so bad and a gift from god you should have been there. Since you were not you should keep your thoughts to yourself. You and your buddies are to blame for giving a bad rap to SM. Stop complaining. You guys are the biggest cheaters.
I hope your arguments are presented more legibly in court, unless it's The People's Court or another TV show... Hmm?
This proves the point about some of you SM racers. You will never get anywhere in racing and end up staying in SM forever like Von Head. The big cheater fast cars were Von head, Nick and Alex. Wow they had big power down the straight. I was watching from the grandstand and see them just pull away. That’s power so I think you should divert your efforts to Von Head.
The only point you're proving is that the bar has definitely been lowered on The Bar exam.... What qualifies you to determine that our cars had big power on the straight? Do you drive Spec Miatas? Do you own one? Our lap times were in line with the SCCA National times in January and we happen to be three of the drivers that participated in that event...
Because I drive a GT2 Porsche you think I cannot drive, you are so smart.lol A few years back I was running a Porsche Cup Car around the country to have fun and blow off steam. Sometimes I was in front and sometimes mid pack. I never ran across s---m like some of you that think they are the greatest and we must worship you. You throw out your name like I am supposed to know it, the only people that know it is in your small world of the SM jokers. Funny thing is I run a SM just for fun and that is all it is good for.
Ah, Porsche guy, now your posts make a bit more sense. Many of the drivers that I coach are Porsche guys and they are the ones that struggle the most. Getting to the limit in any 911 (especially a GT2 or a Cup Car) is a monumental task and not something I would recommend that a well-to-do weekender try without some guidance. Typically I have them either buy or rent an SM (which they ALWAYS thank me for) to hone their skills and better measure their progress, and most of the time they end up staying in SM and decommissioning the Porsche. Since you've tried SM (allegedly) and continue to run your Porsches, I can only deduce that you liked running upfront in a 911 rather that in the back in the SM. That's fine, the trophies are better with the german cars no?
That car had some massive top speed. How fast were you going down the front straight?
Your knowledge base must be limited to Porsches so allow me to explain. Miatas have gears in the rear end and the transmission which limit their top speed, Porsches have something called "Magic Drive" (I think it's made by Apple) and they're only speed limited by your imagination.
Hey Von Head I will find a rental car for you to race at Sebring to see how you do. We need a Dyno for you top guys like Von head, High Chair and Nick. I am getting tired of seeing these guys pull away in the top end under power. You see with people like Von head, Nick, Alex, High Chair, MPR22 constantly starting their crap we will never get along and it will only lead to a drop in SM new drivers. Some people thinking about going Pro will even run something else to stay away from the drama. You have one person that is delusional and mentally challenged playing videos and others that are so much full of it. I rather race my Porsche Cup car then deal with these ---.
You've managed to bore me. Go PRO be a HERO!

Guys while the fights are like a train wreck, it is hard to look away.. No need for DB and other similar name calling. NoI don't care who posted what first.. Sounds like refereeing my kids this weekend :)

Just to give you an idea what Danny was talking about.. Here is a paste from who has been on line the last 15 minutes.. look at bottom of you page. We have FAR MORE readers than posters!!

16 members, 64 guests, 1 anonymous users

Treat the class with respect and promote it.. If it goes away, so do we :(

I will address one comment..
Many like myself DO NOT want to go to Grand Am, or other "Pro" racing.. If I go anywhere, I would go to SRF. The best drivers and best competition resides in those two classes. While some look at "pro" as step up, I don't. When people pay you to drive you are a "pro" running in a "Pro" series does not make you a "Pro" I see many donkeys in EVERY Grandam race I watch, most in Grand AM ST would never podium in SM. Having a budget that allows you to run "pro" does not make you a Pro in my book. There are many multi miliionaires running SM by choice when they could run whatever they wanted to run.

I read this thread yesterday up to Mr. Dragos post and hoped it would end there. BUT, it did not. So today I will comment.

In some respects I feel bad for Danny, all he wanted to do in, his original post, was to ask everyone to play nice. And he is getting ripped. Danny does not need anyone to fight his battles. I am just voicing my agreement with his original post.

You have to learn that 99% of what Mr. Von C. posts is BS. And the more you provoke him, the more he poops. But understand that he takes his racing very seriously. Besides SM he double dipps into SRF and runs at the front and triple dips into SSC in a Mustang. I am sure he could run a very competitive Grand-Am program on what he spends club racing. And would be very successfull at it. I have seen the inside of his SM engine at last years runoffs. Jeffy was next to us in impound for 2 days. There where no secrets, the engine was found legal.

Ernie Jr put his dad up on a pedistal after their Homestead win. His dad managed to chop down the pedestal and dug a BIG hole with his comments. From what I read here, and that is all I know, the kid was found non compliant at Homestead. Big or little advantage makes no difference. He was caught. And after digging the hole on this website, the dirt just flowed in.

I do not know anything about the Pro Porsche driver, but his comments are nothing but gas on the fire. You say you run a SM for fun only. Then how are you the expert on who has illegal internals in their engine. Do you have Xray vision? Having the means to purchase a fast car does not make you a fast driver. Driving a slow car fast, does make you a fast driver. Paying a large entry fee to get yourself into a Grand-Am race, does not make you a Pro driver. Having someone write you a check, simply for your driving skills is what makes you a PROFESSIONAL driver.

In 4 pages, Mr Steyn and Mr Drago are the only posts that make sense to me.

I call BS. With all due respect to Mr. Steyn's and Mr. Drago's posts the best post of this thread came from Mr. Webb, Jessica Abla is hot!

For those sensative intelecutal types, that was not sarcasm, satire or irony. It was pure smart ass.

In satire, vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, and society itself, into improvement.[1] Although satire is usually meant to be funny, its greater purpose is often constructive social criticism, using wit as a weapon.

Hi all

Sitting in the airport lounge going through the latest MRF threads

While there has been a lot of entertainment for all in the past few weeks, I can't help but think we might be turning off a whole bunch of racers that might want to get their feet wet in this class.

Some of the threads have really taken a turn, and not in a good way.

This forum , and all the threads and posts will live on long after the fun has gone.

Is this the legacy we want to leave behind to encourage others to our class? Spec Miata, like all classes, needs new blood to succeed, so let's see what we can do to encourage new drivers to our class.

I don't mind if this post puts me in the bullseye for some, but seriously guys, let's move on and present our class as a welcoming place to race.

Thanks

The only place I've seen Andrew live doing his thing on & off track is Road America. He is one smiling fun filled dude. Driver, get your car owner to drag his 1.6 to the Sprints & bring your car along to keep Drago honest. Seems maybe pdaddy is saving his good motor for the Runoffs.

Andrew is a bunch more intelligent that some (new comers) on this site realize.
