Registration begins on January 15th (tomorrow). I just got an email that states "Get ready! We are close to going live."

I'll post to this thread the moment I hear we are up.

As I understand it, track laps will be allocated on a basis inversely proportional to the distance squared for anyone further than 300 miles away from Austin. A similar formula is being considered for qualifying times. A variance may be allowed for all applicants who group together and chant "Texas is good, Texas is great" in three part harmony. Danny can do this in Afrikaans if he likes for extra laps.

Now that it is clear there will 85 ish SMs in the field, what ideas have been passed around about making qualifying less chaotic. After reading the letter from the race chair I assume you don't want us wadding up cars trying to get a hot lap in traffic. This is a special race and make no mistake there will be accidents if you let 85 go out at one time for qualifying.
