Not 100% accurate
I'm not surprised. Sorry if I'm spreading bad rumors. I hesitated to post it, thinking it could be wrong or misleading. Just anxious to hear how it plays out...

I'm reasonably sure that most of us are adults. If you know, do tell.

I am reasonably sure that the persons directly involved are under a gag order of sorts. If Ron knows something he probably was told not to pass any info that would lead back to the source. So while not trying to be a tease he is giving the clues he feels ok in giving as to keep to his original agreement with where ever he gathered his info....
However if I infer his info correctly, and this is my speculation, 8 of the 9 protested cars have been sent to the back of the field and there are appeals under way.
I also would speculate that SCCA officials with have 8 different appeals to rule upon and they will not stay late tonight to do that. I do not expect a decision on those possible appeals until Sunday or later....

I'm putting Spec Miata together this winter to race with my Reynard. Too much waiting around on race days for a 'recreational' racer like me.

STR should make similar power to .4-.5 cr, two SM pointy end issues on the naked table, sweet!! Is there a common denominator builder? 😉

Where is Lamb with his picture-nary?
Protest gag order would be a first and not in GCR and I guess should be added? I hear choppers.

So how will this affect parity? (figured I would get that thread started early)
In other random thought news......wonder if the outcome of this will be a single engine source for the class? SM gen 3? Yes I was drinking, but not that much.

The answers will be answered tomorrow. Aquarium was nice today.
Man, I have heard that from a ton of folks.
Danny might chime in on the one in Cape Town which I must say is probably the coolest I've personally seen.
One of these days I'll check out the Monterey exhbit.

Sure hope that SCCA provides clear picture documentation of both the non-compliant as well as the one(s) that were deemed compliant so there is no mystery as to what is deemed acceptable and what is not. Given that this has become an area prone to improper interpretation possibly even by SCCA Scrutineers, it would be very helpful to the SM community at large to see visual documentation of the specific infractions. Also, having such a large sample size inspected provides a broad spectrum of potential casting/throat machining possibilities to clear up for grey areas people are likely to encounter when inspecting parts or performing/providing instructions to local machine shops.

Just got back to my hotel from the track. Just to add to the confusion, evidently Berry's car was released only to have one of the tech inspectors run out and stop the release. I left right after that to go to dinner.
T2 and GT3 were great races. T2 had an early pileup - saw the aftermath but not the cause. Some dude in a green and black mustang behaved badly according to eye witnesses.

That was an ugly crash in the T2 race:

No doubt lots of people know what has happened. My guess is no one is under a gag order nor was i asked to keep quiet. But out of respect for the process and competitors this needs to play out. The lawyers are giving their closing arguments...stay tuned.
