If 2 lcars are traveling at the same speed and both hit the rev-limiter at the same time.. how can either gain speed?
I'd say they can't. A well timed thump just before hitting the limiter might push one over briefly but that's about it, I think the limiter is just too hard to continue accelerating at that speed even drafting.
At a true 7000 RPM they should be able to hit 135.5 - 136.5 plus some small amount for tire growth, so the trap speeds don't seem unreasonable. An extra100 RPM would add about 2 mph and it would not be surprising to find stock ECUs with that much variance. Though so far I have ever only seen lower, not higher, than rated, I haven't tested very many, and fewer NBs.
