If not already started...I see a lot of aero testing in the future Which bumper is best? wing window? top loose? hood gaps? spoiler? ride height? Wait...current concern should be how to drive out of gravel!!!

I think I had too much camber 3.1 on the RF, 2.9 on LF
Any suggestions for camber settings for the front and rear

Here's my Saturday SM race...
Part 1
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=KuJZWdRzLnQ
- 3:35 race start
- 9:30 about to get hit by my stable mate (1st time)
- 10:30 about to get hit by my stable mate (2nd time)
- 10:40 hit #2, left hand goes out the window to ask wtf
- 10:43 hit #3, both hands go up to ask WTF!!!
Part 2
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=BeKhCGT2zuU
- pretty boring as I try and chase down Vance & Sutherland in the infield only to get yarded on the straight...as Ghidinelli said, rinse & repeat for handful of laps
- 7:20 getting closer
- 9:25 leading to (failed) pass attempt
- 10:07 "burp"...low fuel with 1.5 laps to go
- 12:15 getting ready to give up 5th
- 13:10 hold onto 6th...barely
If I hadn't run out of gas, I'm not sure I could've passed Vance or held it even if I did. The three of us (me, Vance, Sutherland) were definitely catching the leaders. Too bad we got separated from Lee & Skeer so early due to battling for 3rd instead of working together. Oh well, lessons learned I guess/hope.
Enjoy,
-MD

Hmmmm...I hope some of you vets have had a conversation with young Mr. Kaiser. Nice kid...but on the track he is making poor decisions and not gaining much respect. Only reason his car hasn't been completely balled up yet is better drivers have avoided him to save their own cars. At least this weekend his lack of patience cost him positions...hope he is a quick learner...it's a tough crowd(talent wise!)

The 10:30 one looked strange but I have a theory. There is a massive hole at the end of the curbing. He might have tried to go right at the last second to dodge the hole and got into you that way. Not saying it's not wrong, just saying that one might not be as bone headed as it might look.

A little different perspective....I have much to learn and what I thought happened didn't. Just over drove the car and tires....
Nice drive and a great camera view. The draft matchups were really interesting. You need a crystal ball to get that right on every lap. You might want to calibrate your lateral G's in your data system. Looks a bit biased to right hand turns.

Thanks Tom, I noticed that the G gauge and and the throttle needs to be fixed. I am not sure how to move the G's gauge in my screen because it is blocking my afr gauge in my dash.
I had my kids help me to set up my youtube account so I will find out if they are AIM proficient as well

I watched all the videos posted on this race as we will be racing lots of guys we don't know etc. I think you guys were intentionally trying to intimidate us guys east of the Mississippi, I thought the SE was aggressive

Hey Dean, it was great meeting you too. I was running video for the first time in about five years with a borrowed camera. Got loaded on my laptop but no idea how to post it. It was pretty chappy anyway. Bad angle and can't see out the rear view mirror. Or see when you're running someone into the gravel, apparently. :^)

Ken, it looks like when you click the link, Brian already has it set to just before the incident (22 minutes) Right after I flat spotted my tire trying to avoid hitting Clement in the rear.

Mark, Dean and all those who post videos
Thanks guys, I am sure that I speak on behalf of all of the forum members when I say that we LOVE to see the races we cannot attend. Not only do we race vicariously though you, but we also get to see tracks that we have never driven before.
And just think how many non-forum non Spec Miata guys out there land up on our videos by accident and see how much fun we are having. Next thing you know we have a bunch of young kids joining us in Spec Miata!!!! Nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing the Spec Miata class over-subscribed for an event, and having to run an A and B race......... and I think the way the class is developing, this might actually be an eventuality
And videos showing close wheel to wheel racing with lots of passing make it look like soooooooooo much fun
Thanks Guys. Keep on posting.

Okay, I see it now, Brian. Looks like you tried to short-cut the coarse! Actually, I couldn't tell what happened there and don't remember it in the race. Sorry if I didn't give you room. Not my typical style.
