From the looks of the track and the vids from last year HP is not the biggest factor here.
If Ferranti's new car is sorted and it is anywhere near the equal of the rest he can win here.
Therefore I am going out on a limb and picking Ferranti to win the supposed practice runnoffs.
Thanks Kyle, but I must say......
Jim - The wife is upset she can't go! She knows if I am slow I will be in the french quarter drowning myself in Abita Amber's and oysters which is always a good time.
I pick Blake!
Safe travels everyone.

If you look at my track record of picks I am probably about 75% which jimmy the Greek wishes he was.
I watched your vid last year so many time I got dizzy. You never get a mention or the credit you deserve and I know your an underdog to most but you can actually win this one if your ducks get lined up. Lay off the booz and don't fall prey to voytekys gin and juice and keep driving like you did last year!

Anybody notice the low of 34 tomorrow night, low of 39 Friday night and 100% chance of rain on Sunday. Group 2 may be cool each day. Make sure you pack you tire treatment compounds and tire warmers. Vegas just put Danny as a 1 to 2 odds to win Sunday. Always wondered why anyone would place a bet to win on less than one to one odds. Great here today, 83 degrees.

Do you need some assistance from a snow native?

Right-- on tire treatment compounds. But, I showed up once with a short track tool called a sniffer and once the word spread that I was checking tires for treatment, about 1/2 the cars in GT1/SPO bought new tires.
Borrow your grandmother's heating pads, the old kind where it stayed on toast all the time and they'll make good tire warmers.
Wind is unreal today Gusts up to 35 MPH or more.

Informal pole in the paddock is there maybe 20 cars within 0.2 seconds of each other after qualifying tomorrow. It appears this track is the great equalizer.
Sounds about right.
What does the informal pole in the paddock say about the Rossini Chief of Marketing protesting other engine builders?

Test day was a lot of fun.. No drama at all which was nice, all the cars are REALLY close. Just fun! Many of us in full out race mode on test day with none of the stress and pressure. It was really awesome to get back in the car and racing around some of the guys again. There are 15 plus guys here that can flat out wheel a SM. I imagine we will have 15 cars or so within .5.. It is all but impossible to pass here less a mistake or a dive bomb of some sorts. Going flat out through this esses in 7-10 car train while fun could very easily end up with several totaled cars. Today should be interesting. I don't know if anyone won test day. looked like a 10 way tie
BTW the compliance team is here.. so we will see what happens Sunday
