Understand the CCC provides info to the stewards.

 

It's my understanding also, that the CCC gets information and influence from the SMAC members past and present.  :noidea:

How bout props to Danny Steyn for putting a F'ing unbelievable lap to take the pole!

I have no idea what a great lap there is and didn't get any actual times. And an inevitable part of following races is the model year of each car. But by all means, congrats to Danny for the pole in a very tough field!

I have no idea what a great lap there is and didn't get any actual times. And an inevitable part of following race is the model year of each car. But by all means, congrats to Danny for the pole in a very tough field!


Danny was .3 up on the field. He almost broke into the 1.47xxxx range. Good mix of 99 and VVTs. Track creates parity because it is hard to get a clean lap. Little mistakes are +.3 in several spots. Most crucial of which is last turn into front straight. I was -1.06 at track out but had quite a bit of a slide and no draft and it translated into .7 tenths of a second by S/F. Nice headwind on front straight which is quite a big deal.

Congrats to my XFactor team mate Chris Haldeman for his P2 finish from 9th on the grid. More proof you can't win on the first lap but you can sure lose on the first lap. Car was finished the day before we yesterday and goes P2 at the biggest non runoffs race held to date. Think the guy can wrench and wheel a car. Look forward to driving it at Road Atlanta in two weeks.
